Stephen Whatling
Stephen, the CEO of Keysource Group Limited, has supported and delivered some of the most secure and resilient digital infrastructure facilities in the world for major financial and corporate institutions. He has extensive experience in delivering projects and strategic consultancy for digital infrastructure having worked on data center development in Europe, Asia and North America, and has published several papers on data center issues and trends.
Most recently, Stephen has served as Managing Director of Keysource Limited, the digital infrastructure design, build and operations specialist. Previously, he has held executive level roles as EVP at SUPERNAP International, SUPERNAP Thailand where he was President, and at Digital Realty Trust where he was responsible for design and construction in Europe, delivering projects in UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and France.
Stephen has advised government bodies on market drivers and catalysts for attracting inward investment for digital infrastructure development. He has worked extensively with the investment community, advising on and carrying out due diligence for acquisitions and investments in the digital infrastructure market.
Mark Lambourne
President of DIAL International, Mark has 30 years’ experience in data center and digital Infrastructure acquisitions and management. Previously, he was involved in the creation and development of two data center platform companies in Europe: as the COO for Global Switch and as the Managing Director Europe for Digital Realty Trust.
His experience spans the globe and he has recently provided advisory and site selection services on numerous sites across six geographical locations for a new data center platform in the Middle East.
Other key projects include the provision of due diligence and advise on corporate colocation acquisition in Colombia; a project review for an 11-storey data center development in South Korea; and the assessment of several potential acquisition sites for data center use in Germany, France and the UK for an institutional fund and a data centre operating company.
Having worked with numerous successful data center businesses, Mark has a comprehensive understanding of clients’ business and strategic objectives.
Stephen Lorimer
As a respected industry leader, Steve works across our Group companies, Keysource Ltd and DIAL, to support our Advisory and Strategic Consultancy offering. His technical capability and experience in data centre development, design and operations provides our customers with invaluable insight.
Stephen joined Keysource in 2003, and has an intimate knowledge of data center M&E infrastructure, with an excellent ability to ensure all sub systems within the facility operate in a ‘cohesive’ manner.
Stephen’s capabilities allow him to design in accordance with the Uptime Institute tier classifications for resilience and he was also an early adopter of the Green Grid data centre efficiency PUE and DCiE metrics.
His experience as lead designer and consultant on a number of key projects resulted in him being a finalist in the ‘Young Mission Critical Engineer of the Year’ category at the 2009 DatacenterDynamics Leaders Awards.
